Suddenly, the TEA TIME interdimensional portal materializes at its usual space-time coordinates (7-8

As you enter, you hear the voice of an unseen presence . . . speaking in haiku cadences:
Posted by: forensicpopouri - Apr 03, 2002, 7:00 PM

"I'M DESTINY-FREE,"
said Buffy when she was told
    that she was chosen.

    Is that how you feel?
  Could you be as mistaken
    as Buffy Summers?

   Or are you brought here
  to this space-time location
     by your destiny?

THE TEA TIME PORTAL
  has opened consistently
    in this space and time.

  It's a mystery.
    Why has this portal appeared?
       A portal to what?

What coded message
  does the gatekeeper require?
    Can you find the key?

   What form does it take?
     Something you already know?
       Something you must learn?

   What kind of action . . .
. . . What magic words must be said
         to pass beyond here.

TEA TIME is a node,
   transient connecting point,
     in the mystery.

   The lessons are done.
     The Watcher changes his hat.
       An Oracle now.

The TEA TIME PORTAL
  dematerializes
    at 8:00 PM (Bronze).

  From now until then,
     the poetic Oracle
       will observe. . . . Reply?

TEA TIME IN L.A. is a production of ThePowersThatTea.

No affiliation with UPN, Mutant Enemy Productions, Joss's evil twin brother,
the Bush administration, Gore in 2004, etc. etc. is is asserted or implied.

The Oracle/Host would like to acknowledge glow for providing
the inspiration for today's TEA TIME.

Of course I wonder
What motives this poet has?
Perhaps he will say

I fear it will fade
Before the Big Cheese reveals
For now anyway...

TEA TIME PORTAL HAS CLOSED FOR TODAY

The Tea room remains
to be swept away with time.

BUT there's tomorrow.
when once again the PORTAL
opens. See you then.

yelnif writes ballads!
(Be sure to check yesterday's
SMG ballad.)

There is no depth here.
But there is a mystery.
Why's this portal here?

TEA TIME PORTAL BEGINS TO FADE

All I can say is
As far as strange poems go
I'm always confused

Blame my measley age
But Shakespeare's not my forte
I write rhyming songs

Though Big Cheese intrigues,
This Bohemian Dime Bar
Is out of her depth...

As yelnif has said:

". . . are we supposed to be here."

That is the question.

prunehilda's defined
what destiny and fate are.

But do we agree?

Gotta go, bye.

Sloppy Oracle.
Lost in the middle of verse.
A crazy haiku.

Poetry Month? TRUE.
And who says we're not
writing in Will Shakespeare's form?

Riddle me this
Posted by: prunehilda - Apr 03, 2002, 7:50 PM 10 of 31

Destiny can change
One circumstance to the next?
Fate is set forever?

Do you versify
to "amuse" The Oracle?

Or to gain the key?

(The Oracle says)
Posted by: forensicpopouri - Apr 03, 2002, 7:44 PM 12 of 31

A prunehilda quote:

"Black Kevlar's lost it's appeal."

(Compressed for Haiku.)

Is someone confused? <smile>

We speak rhetorical verse.

No bad poets here.

Poetry Month? TRUE.

And who says we're not
writing in Will Shakespeare's form?

I'll give it a shot....
Posted by: yelnif - Apr 03, 2002, 7:37 PM 15 of 31

Destiny is strange
It depends if you believe
We're meant to be here

Versing to amuse
The phantom poetic man
I call the Big Cheese

You may think I'm stoned
The uneventful truth is
Just a bad poet.

Peace and Love. Yelnif.

What is destiny?

   Is it a flexible word?

And what about fate?

glow exits the room
leaving behind some good thoughts.

She said "destiny."

Her meter will come?

If your destiny
is already known to all
then you have no fate.

(huh?)

Hi FP. Thought I would send this off to you just before supper.
Posted by: prunehilda - Apr 03, 2002, 7:19 PM 23 of 31

Reluctance is easy to understand
If you consider the slayers fate.
Her life could never be boring and bland
but constant death threats would begin to grate.

If fate is the key to happiness true
then we should all wish to be in the loop.
It's simple to see why she's so blue.
She's caught, she's bound, no, she can't fly the coop.

As is with any other vocation
Each one has its ups and downs, of course.
But she's the ONE, no solicitation.
Buffy has the right to counter the source.

For her there's no gold medal to be won,
So its about time to bring on some fun.

Who is this FP?
The writer of the sonnets?

The Oracle's HERE.

Who is this FP?
