SINGING
LESSON<g> [rhetorical
verse in Shakespearean sonnet
form]
(1) WHY WRITE "ONCE MORE,
WITH FEELING" SONGS AGAIN?
Why match the
rhythm Joss used with new
rhymes
that fit his pattern, but give sound
new spin?
Not something that I'd do too
many times, . . .
. . . but it's a
well-formed challenge to your skill
of
rhetoric, of poetry, of mind.
(I'm
searching for a metaphor that
will
reveal a line of sight to which I'm
blind -- . . .
. . . will teach me
things I do not know 'til now.
But
metaphors -- like Oracles -- may
hide
their gift of wisdom -- may well not
allow
transmission --- as their meanings
subdivide . . .
. . . as diff'rent eyes
and ears grab them by force.
No marriage of
your visions. A divorce.
(2) SO, maybe
I will let my muse go play.
Just for the
moment, "clarity" my goal.
Straight talk
about that song here on
display. http://www.buffy.com/bronze_posts.jsp?tid=60165
As
sonneteering slayers I enroll, . . .
.
. . just for this moment, in songwriting
class.
The joy of singing may bring in the
fun
to verse endeavors with more
heavy mass.
Leave hard-book thoughts.
We're off to beachy sun. . .
.
BUT more for volleyball than even
tans. <smile>
How can
you smack a spike without a net?
<g>
(Who do you think you are?
Just lazy fans?!?) <ewg>
In
time, the ball within the lines. No
sweat.
OH DEAR, I have run out of time.
I quit.
Just sing the song. You'll
get what there's to get.
<S>
you
speak
