| I know that I said I
had comments and questions, but I think I will hold off
on them until tomorrow. I want to let his words sink in
a little more. Some of the things he wrote annoyed the
linguist inside of me, yet I will refrain for now. I
think I just have to remind myself that in poetry word
stress, sentence stress and intonation are different
from those in regular speech patterns.
Maybe it
will help if I try to compose some iambic couplets to
see if I have understood what Pinsky says about
'accent'.
Until tomorrow's Tea Time, I bid you
adieu.
Adieu.

As you know.
The law's the law ...

| I finally managed to
get myself off the Bronze yesterday night (this
morning?)... Bad Bronze withdrawal syndroms! Are you
going to post your "appel aux armes" (or "Bronzers let's
unite and fight back") again, dear Norma Rae? Seriously,
it would be nice to use last week's break down as a
pretext to improve this site... I could write your
speaches (not in verse though... you read my poor try
yesterday!) and you could stand in the middle of the
piazza harrowing Bronzers! Good old time democracy!
Let's give the cratos back to the demos!
