And for the first time . . . the monkey considered buying pants.

but only for a moment.

POOF

Good-bye!

Until tomorrow I must fly!

Oh no -- silly monkey

That is not what I meant at all. That is not it, at all. A game, sure, but not that kind of monkey business. I thought instead we'd measure sand with tea spoons and build delightful rooms in silly monkey songs.

(a monkey blush)

. . .

Hm! Just what I thought...

Glad to see you finally noticed!
Shall we play in the sand a bit?

(makes monkey noises of great delight)

. . .

Silly!

Can't you tell a female when she's being coy!
Surely you can see my toes are quite my own, if you'd take your eyes off that banana peel. Shine to you and a full moon too!

CORRECTION: Toe Thief!

(monkey shine)

Murderer!

What are you doing with monkey toes?

Somewhere a toeless monkey cries for its lost toes.

Here stands the thief.

(returns to happily munching his banana)

Simple really

I'm told I have monkey toes -- very useful really, for playing games, and what better games are there to play than monkey games? I'll even let you pick!

Are you a monkey?
Posted by: monkeywithoutpants - May 06, 2002, 7:30 PM 12 of 16

How do you know monkey games? Who told you?

(eating banana taken from jacket pocket)

Sure, sweet monkey
Posted by: JNW - May 06, 2002, 7:26 PM 13 of 16

Come in and join! I offer tropical fruit treats and yummy wine -- no animal crackers here! And all can dress or undress as they like. Would you like to play a game?

Surprise! Surprise!
Posted by: monkeywithoutpants - May 06, 2002, 7:21 PM 14 of 16

I love surprises. They have monkey surprises here?

I call to the monkeys, sweet siren song
Posted by: JNW - May 06, 2002, 7:17 PM 15 of 16

Come sweet monkeys, come and play
and sing silly monkey songs and sip silly monkey wine.
We've bananas here and lush plantains to help you while away your monkey time!

No worries sweet monkeys!

I'm sure it's not meant in a nasty way. Fondue monkey surprise is made with monkeys in mind, I'm sure, not in actuality. A dessert fondue, that goes well with wine.
