MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE PRODUCER TO ALL TEA TIME PARTICIPANTS
Posted by: goodtvguy - May 06, 2002, 8:23 PM 1 of 45

Dear participants . . .

Please excuse the typing mistakes today.

But, more importantly, let me express my "extreme
dismay" at the failure of the Oracle to
respond at all today.

All indications that he/she/it was processing all input.
(A Tea Accounting Adjustment message was sent from
the Oracle "console"/subroutines?)

This creative experiment has some parameters that are
beyond my control, and all I can do is appologize for
any disappointment you may have experienced due to
recent Oracle behavior.

Please feel free to express your "displeasure" on the CORKBOARD.
But also be sure to direct any "suggestions" to me personally.
forensicpopouri may respond in "artistic ways" that
only make sense to him . . .but I'll "listen better."

Again, my thanks for your participation.

Tea Time Executive Producer

CORRECTION: "Tea Leaf Accounting has been adjusted"

The executive producer will be a suitable deduction made from his paycheck for this outrage.

Roughly done "I'm under your spell" for FP
Posted by: yelnif - May 06, 2002, 8:00 PM 4 of 45

A long, long time ago,
I gave up trying to understand
But FP's poetic games
Are just getting out of hand...

Now I'm not that smart,
so it's tearing me apart...

He's confusing me to hell,
The oracle I see, has lost his grip of san-it-yyy
Into the trap I fell...
Now as a general rule, I fall asleep daily in school,

He's making me lose sleeeep
You make me lose sleep,
you make me lose sleep!

There's some concern amongst ThePowersThatTea
that monkeys just might overrun the place . . .

. . . so please don't call more monkeys. One's enough! <smile>

Verschip, of course, I (HS)
Posted by: JNW - May 06, 2002, 7:54 PM 6 of 45

Understand, but I wonder,
should I "hear" only

A name that I choose?
Shall I control even this
Small aspect of me?

But JNW is (HS to Verschip)
Posted by: prunehilda - May 06, 2002, 7:53 PM 7 of 45

our friend. And anyway what
does VR stand for.

HR to all
Posted by: Supernatural lawyer - May 06, 2002, 7:50 PM 8 of 45

Fifteen minutes left.
No Oracle yet. Is he...
also playing games?

....
Posted by: yelnif - May 06, 2002, 7:50 PM 9 of 45

Alcohol Verschip?
Innocent little me? Of
course I wouldn't ask!! <g>

Mister Verschip says . . . (BV to all regarding JNW)
Posted by: Mister_Verschip - May 06, 2002, 7:49 PM 10 of 45

"The word I hear" is JNW
will be addressed as VR in this place.

You must excuse me, but I must comply.

Supernatural (HS)
Posted by: JNW - May 06, 2002, 7:49 PM 11 of 45

Yes, luv, you are right but sweet
Monkey needs games too

HR to Mr. V.
Posted by: Supernatural lawyer - May 06, 2002, 7:47 PM 12 of 45

Dear Mr. Verschip
What a lousy spy you make
Be discreet at least.

Drinks are a cheat ploy
To make us talk and reveal
What your "ear"-friend wants.

A twelve year is fine(Hs to Verschip)
Posted by: prunehilda - May 06, 2002, 7:46 PM 13 of 45

Thanks, what are you on about?
I don't understand.

Mister Verschip says . . . (BV to yelnif regarding drink selection)
Posted by: Mister_Verschip - May 06, 2002, 7:46 PM 14 of 45

We much respect the wisdom yelnif brings
to this establishment . . . and have prepared
a full selection of what she might want.
No alcohol of course. Not that she'd ask.

This Merlot goes from top to toes, and now (BV)
Posted by: JNW - May 06, 2002, 7:45 PM 15 of 45

I'm feeling bad, or naughty at the least
Why speak in verse? The O's away -- let's play!

HR to JNW
Posted by: Supernatural lawyer - May 06, 2002, 7:43 PM 16 of 45

JNW
I saw you were playing games
With the strange monkey.

Here it's nice and quiet.
The company's delightful...
The drinks are perfect.

....
Posted by: yelnif - May 06, 2002, 7:43 PM 17 of 45

JNW
Well in some establishments
They consider me

Just a little young...
Don't suppose this bar will serve
a fifteen-year-old?

Mister Verschip says . . . (BV&RC to prunehilda and all around the bar . . . listening to an EARPIECE)
Posted by: Mister_Verschip - May 06, 2002, 7:41 PM 18 of 45

Dear prunehilda . . . how many year old scotch?

The Oracle is on . . . that's what I hear.
But disregard this thing stuck in my ear. <Smile>

Oh, Oh, Oh, Yelnif (HS to all)
Posted by: prunehilda - May 06, 2002, 7:41 PM 19 of 45

Is only just fifteen but
I'm sure there is pop.

To the Bar in general
Posted by: JNW - May 06, 2002, 7:38 PM 20 of 45

Merlot is lovely
Verschip. Since the Oracle
Declines prophecy

I am quite content
To sit and simply drink and
chat a bit right here.

The conversation
I already know will be
quite fine. Yelnif -- drink?

HR to all
Posted by: Supernatural lawyer - May 06, 2002, 7:36 PM 21 of 45

Is all that drinking
Meant to blur our brilliant minds?
Nervous? no. Intrigued...

....
Posted by: yelnif - May 06, 2002, 7:33 PM 22 of 45

Is anyone else
feeling nervous about all
this prolonged silence?

No? Then I suppose
I'll just begin sniffing the
funny sand, SL.

HR to Mr. Verschip
Posted by: prunehilda - May 06, 2002, 7:33 PM 23 of 45

I'd prefer a Scotch
on the rocks, if you please, thanks.
That takes the edge off.

Mister Verschip says . . . (BV to those around the bar)
Posted by: Mister_Verschip - May 06, 2002, 7:33 PM 24 of 45

How 'bout merlot for JNW?

The margarita . . . blended or on cubes?

HR to Vershcip, the "bartender" re: today's poison of choice.
Posted by: Supernatural lawyer - May 06, 2002, 7:29 PM 25 of 45

In the spirit of
Cinco de Mayo, serve me
A Marguarita.

Verschip sweetheart! (She calls out in BV)
Posted by: JNW - May 06, 2002, 7:29 PM 26 of 45

A wine for me, a red, I'd like, but NOT
The silly monkey wine, it's not for me

HR to SNL
Posted by: prunehilda - May 06, 2002, 7:27 PM 27 of 45

The oracle has
been affected adversely
to all that gas. Whew

Mister Verschip says . . . (BV regarding choice of "poison" <smile>)
Posted by: Mister_Verschip - May 06, 2002, 7:24 PM 28 of 45

There's lot of choices here behind the bar.

If you shout out your pleasure I'll comply. <g>

I too loved haiku (HS)
Posted by: JNW - May 06, 2002, 7:24 PM 29 of 45

Bright and sharp by SNL
Well and done indeed!

Welcome prunehilda
Glad to see you here as well
Your thoughts I concur

HR to prunehilda (please stay!)
Posted by: Supernatural lawyer - May 06, 2002, 7:23 PM 30 of 45

I'm blushing, stop it!
I thought I'd get reactions
From O... where is he?

Verschip (BV)
Posted by: JNW - May 06, 2002, 7:21 PM 31 of 45

I'll take that drink, if you don't mind, and buy
You drinks in friendly change, it sure is time
To drop some cares and sip some wine with friends

prunehilda enters the lounge tentatively (HR to SNL)
Posted by: prunehilda - May 06, 2002, 7:20 PM 32 of 45

Good Lord SNL
your haiku is brilliant.
First you take TT

Then you take IP
I think we have a chance to
beat FP on this.

Where is Oracle?
Frightened by us "ladies" or
Laughing, head in sand?

HR to yelnif
Posted by: Supernatural lawyer - May 06, 2002, 7:18 PM 34 of 45

Not to our knowledge.
But by sniffing the same sand,
We at least have fun!

Mister Verschip says . . . (BV to yelnif . . . who's up way too late on a school night <smile>)
Posted by: Mister_Verschip - May 06, 2002, 7:18 PM 35 of 45

I don't know what to say about "his" state.

There's much discussion here behind the scenes
about what should be done .. . if anyone
can reprogram the Oracle once on.

Verschip

It's true some muck a muck did change my name
Rebel I might, or play this brave new game

While waiting for the Oracle to speak
let's have a drink. This round will be on me.

.....
Posted by: yelnif - May 06, 2002, 7:12 PM 38 of 45

Hello all. Verschip...
Tell me, is the oracle
any saner yet?

Good questions SL! (HS to all)
Posted by: JNW - May 06, 2002, 7:10 PM 39 of 45

I'm curious too, to know
How O interprets

And more, what he thinks
of other trivia bits
like those that follow:

A Biellman Spin might
Make even those in LA
stop and take notice

Though Slutskaya would
Never be caught in "LA
Without a Map," sure.

HR to O (about the EOTD or "let's get it out of the way" <smile>)
Posted by: Supernatural lawyer - May 06, 2002, 7:08 PM 40 of 45

Dreams (non-prophetic)
Can be dangerous blindfolds
On teenage girls’ eyes.

Dreams that pure love saves,
That sex is always perfect,
That good conquers all.

We wake up; t’s gone:
The ideals. The lies. The soul.
Only hard light’s left.

Wake up, little girl.
Embrace the beauty of flaws.
His and yours. And learn.

The same old story:
You grow through sacrifices
You win by losing.

Mister Verschip says . . . (BV to SL)
Posted by: Mister_Verschip - May 06, 2002, 7:08 PM 41 of 45

I saw the Times, I guess you got it right.

But what the Oracle will say . . . Who knows?

Mister Verschip says . . . (BV to VR/JNW as he wanders in from the Terrace)
Posted by: Mister_Verschip - May 06, 2002, 7:06 PM 42 of 45

The word I hear is that your name's been changed
by some official Tea Time muck-a-muck.

HR to O (about today's "last minute" NY Times challenge)
Posted by: Supernatural lawyer - May 06, 2002, 7:05 PM 43 of 45

Read an article
‘Bout a “deceptive portrait”
Owned by Mr. Cobbes.

Shakespeare’s patron?
Or “fair youth,” secret lover?
Mystery to all.

But FP did know.
Insightful? Just plain lucky?
Or the Real pithy? <smile>

So my name remains (HS to all)
Posted by: JNW - May 06, 2002, 7:03 PM 44 of 45

For now, undecided yet
