#125,126 for Tea Time in L.A. (7-8PM BRONZE) - RE BtVS #29
"Passion"
 |
Rhetorical verse for Tea Time in
L.A. - (Talking about Buffy as Shakespeare would
have. <g>) Posted by: forensicpopouri - May 13, 2002, 6:26
AM
Rhetorical verse in
Shakespearean sonnet
form
#125 PERVERSITY
RE: BtVS #29 "Passion"
THE
TITLE'S "PASSION" . . . BUT
"PERVERSITY"
IS WHAT THE TOPIC IS
with Angelus.
He has no pure
desire . . . . just cruelty.
And
even evil Spike is quick to suss . .
.
. . . out that tormenting slayers is
just dumb.
You will not break them down.
You'll make them mad.
And then with
passion flowing . . . she will
come
and teach you well the answer: "Who is
bad?"
THE DEMON in Angelus
truely likes
to drink in human suffering .
. . beyond
the relish of the hunt and blood
that Spike's
un-human passion
seems to be quite fond.
Angelus's
voice over seems profound.
But
bullsh*t spoken well makes square seem
round.
#126 RHYMING VERSE IN
THE BUFFYVERSE (EPISODE
29)
GILES SAYS THE
UN-INVITING VAMPIRE SPELL
TAKES
RHYMING COUPLETS . . . holy water . . .
moss
and crucifixes. (WILLOW: Bloody
hell!
We're Jewish. So my dad would be
quite cross!)
BUT BACK TO
RHYMING COUPLETS. There it is.
To
close the door on vampires you've let
in
you need some verse to wipe away
the kiss
of welcome that you've smooched on
BAD,"WRONG" MEN.
YES, vampires
can be women . . . BUT this show
shows how
GOOD GALS should deal with NASTY GUYS.
Men
get that thing they want . . . and off they
go.
Changed into someone else who you
despise.
SO practice rhyming
couplets in spare time.
Then you'll be
ready for the next guy-crime.
you
speak

| NOTE: The
insane idea of putting Buffy
thoughts in Shakespearean sonnet form . . . is
based on the even more insane idea
that you might want to give it a try
yourself.
For a "sonnetized" explanation
of why this is not insane <g> . . .
you might read my previous Bronze threads WHY I POST
IN SHAKESPEAREAN SONNETS: PART 1: tid=48156
PART 2: tid=48152
THEN if that challenge
seems like an interesting one to you, look for TEA
TIME in L.A. at 7:00 PM BRONZE TIME daily
. . . which is truly strange. <g> But it
just might save the world. <ewg> In any case,
you can brag about being able to write better
than fill-in-the-blank.
