 NOTE (RHYME CRIME)
| Posted by:
forensicpopouri - May 15, 2002, 4:44
PM |
| The second sonnet
of today's sequence has a rhyme crime
<g> (I mean . . . I forgot to rhyme two
lines that should rhyme according to the rules of
writing sonnets)
If you think up a line that
will fix the crime <smile> please post it at
the SONNET FEEDBACK THREAD at
tid=80583 http://www.buffy.com/bronze_posts.jsp?tid=80583
PLEASE
DON'T POST IN THIS THREAD . . . 'cause it pushes the
sonnets into oblvion (off the page).
Thanks.

BIG BAD
WILLOW/SPIKE - RE: "Villains"
Episode #120 of
BtVS
(1) OSIRIS
SAYS: "You may not violate
the law of nat'ral
order." WELL, SINCE WHEN?
When Buffy
flat-lined, was it not too late
for Wil to
lift the bullet, heal her skin?
Did Wil's
hate-power make O. suck his face
into his own
mouth. (Wow! That's quite a trick!)
Dead
Tara "proves" hate trumps a loving
grace.
BUT EVER SINCE BAD
WILLOW gave a lick . . .
. . . to her
sweet doppelganger, I've said "Yay!"
for Big
Bad Willow's character. It cooks.
It's not
the girl-on-girl thing, guys, OK?
It's
confidence and surety that hooks . .
.
. . . me where I live . . . in Hollywood,
so vile.
TO HELL WITH MEEKNESS . . . BIG BAD
WIL HAS STYLE!

| (2) TOO BAD we
can't have heroes half as swell.
A better
Buffy would not make me wretch
with
goody-goody inconsistency.
Sometimes she
punches humans. Better fetch . . .
. . . the
slayer handbook . . . and highlight each
page
when Buffy loses track of how to
play
the hero game. Perhaps it's just when
rage
upsets her coma dream, she's not
OK.
I RAISE that ". . .
Normal" thought, . . . because to me
it opens
up our minds to greater slack.
Instead of
flaming those who don't agree
with our
perspective . . . we can simply smack . . .
.
. . them hard upsides the head with: "It's a
dream."
I love to watch fans moan and howl
and scream.

| (3) I LOVE that
mayaroza's all upset
about "the awful
mess" that Noxon's made
of ev'rything. And
ususally she'll get
a whole lot of things right.
. . DON'T BE AFRAID . . .
You're not about to
hear me amplify
more mayaroza
Noxon-bashing here.
Is mayaroza
gal, or is she guy?
I better watch my back .
. .or she might hear!
Not Noxon,
mayaroza. But who knows?
WHICH SEEMS A
LONG, LONG WAY FROM TUESDAY NIGHT.
But you
should know by now that's how it goes
with sonnet
writing . . . You just fly a kite.
The
winds of Willow blew me down this
path
Gale-force of will, unleashed by
Willow's
wrath.

| (4) ENJOYMENT OF
WIL dropping holding back.
To see her out
from under Buffy's thumb.
(It's all
dream. Don't fret of reason's
lack!)<g>
To see her fling Miss
Buffy on her bum . . .
Then say she
will do what in hell she wills.
And (Yay!) there
goes ol' Xander on his ass.
"THE MORAL"
IS, of course, that anger kills . .
.
your soul . . . so evil forces can harrass . .
.
. . . you into being on the darker
side.
LIKE SPIKE IN AFRICA seeks out
the death
of all the kindness he's let slip
inside.
Resentment flares his nostrils with no
breath.
Thank God for Season Seven's evil
pair.
Bad Spike. Bad Willow. Dream? Hell I
don't care!.

END

HAIKU
CODA
I am way too tired to rewrite these
sonnet-things. But they're still
sonnets. <serious

| NOTE: The insane idea
of putting Buffy thoughts in Shakespearean
sonnet form . . . is based on the even
more insane idea that you might want to give it a try
yourself.
For a "sonnetized" explanation of why
this is not insane <g> . . . you might
read my previous Bronze threads WHY I POST IN
SHAKESPEAREAN SONNETS: PART 1: tid=48156
PART 2: tid=48152
THEN if that challenge
seems like an interesting one to you, look for TEA
TIME in L.A. at 7:00 PM BRONZE TIME daily
. . . which is truly strange. <g> But it
just might save the world. <ewg> In any case,
you can brag about being able to write better than
fill-in-the-blank. <g>
